Meet Colin

I have been in construction since 1996, when I got my first job pouring concrete right after high school. Since then I have poured concrete, built pole barns, and done a lot of excavation and pipe repair.

I still love to work with my hands, and I rarely miss a chance to get dirty. I enjoy getting to know my customers, solving their problems, and getting the job done on time and done right. I look forward to meeting you.

Questions people ask

All questions
Is a sewer backup an emergency?

Yes. If sewage is coming up into a tub, shower, toilet or floor drain, stop using water in the house and call us. Dirty water carries germs, so keep kids and pets away from it.

How much will my repair cost?

It depends on how deep the pipe is, how far we have to dig, what is in the way (driveways, trees, patios), what we find once we see it, and permits. We look first, then give you the price in writing.

Can I send photos first?

Yes. Photos help us understand the problem before we come out, and can make the estimate faster. Send up to five with the estimate form.

Are you licensed?

Yes. McVay Construction LLC holds Oregon CCB license #237547. You can look it up on the Construction Contractors Board website.

Why is my crawlspace wet?

Most often, water from the roof and yard runs toward the house instead of away from it. Overflowing gutters, downspouts that dump by the foundation, and ground that slopes the wrong way all add up. A high water table in the rainy months can do it too.
